Olymptrade Malaysia: care that reaches the table, the clinic and the mind

Food on the table solves today. A doctor you can actually afford, and the strength to keep going, solve the months that follow. In Kuala Lumpur, Olymptrade supported all three at once.

In August 2026, Olymptrade partnered with HOPE worldwide Malaysia, a non-profit organization that has been working with urban poor families and marginalized communities since 2000. The collaboration covered three programs at once: food distribution, free healthcare and mental wellness support.

Groceries for 180 families

On August 15, staff and volunteers gathered at the Sentul Free Clinic of HOPE in Kuala Lumpur to distribute groceries to 180 pre-selected low-income families.

Each household received essentials for the weeks ahead: 10 kg of rice, flour, cooking oil, dried noodles, canned food, biscuits, a chocolate malt drink, onions, potatoes and vegetables, along with basic household necessities.

For HOPE worldwide Malaysia, the program is a regular commitment rather than a one-off event: the organization provides monthly groceries to these families throughout the year.

“It’s not just about providing groceries, but about giving people the warmth of community and the hope that they are not forgotten,” the organization says about the initiative.

A clinic that turns no one away

The second part of the partnership supports the Sentul Free Clinic of HOPE, where the organization’s work began in 2000. The clinic provides free healthcare to communities in and around the Sentul region and has treated more than 80,000 patients since it opened.

Its doctors handle everything from blood sugar tests, ECG and blood work to the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, asthma, skin conditions and other common illnesses.

Olymptrade’s donation covers the clinic’s running costs for two months: doctors’ honorariums, medicine and medical supplies, program allowances, utilities and the upkeep of the premises. In practice, it means the doors stay open and patients keep being seen, regardless of what they can pay.

Support that starts with mothers

The third program addresses something rarely covered by charity budgets: mental health.

The Holistic HOPE Mental Wellness Program provides training sessions for 25 women over three months, led by a qualified facilitator. The idea behind it is simple — when mothers have the tools to look after their own mental and emotional state, they are better able to support and guide their children.

Care that counts, in practice
